Sign of the Times - More Androids are “born” than Babies
Remember when we used to read comics and watch movies and the fear was that there would be more computers than us and that would end badly (e.g. Matrix, Terminator, the Borg on Star Trek). Well looks like this fictional milestone is now a fact (well minus the ending badly part so far). According to a new infographic from New Relic, 1.3 million Androids are activated every day but only 300,000 babies are being born. This translates to just over 4 Android devices for every new human that comes into the world. Talk about out numbered.
Well we might not be at war with technology quite yet, but the app publishers are definitely waging war within the app stores and that perhaps isn’t going so well. New Relic also illustrates that “more than 60% of the apps in the Apple Store have never been downloaded. Not even once”!

Intro the Silver Lining.It’s literally in the basement of a 154-year old mansion. At first glance you might think you’re encroaching on some rich bugger’s property, and, as a gentleman, you may be inclined to knock. (No need to be rude.) But, this is not a stuffy, private residence and you are not a criminal. So enter boldly and follow the dimly-lit staircase to the basement, where you’re instantly transported to the old world. Exposed brick, a beckoning bar, pristine white table cloths, cozy booths, and beautiful jazz (live every single night past 9pm) echo an aged sophistication we rarely happen upon and are always searching for.
Oh, and, did we mention the live jazz?
My parting advice: ask the bartender for the Monte Carlo and don’t look back.
